I am so excited sometimes I find it hard to unwind and fall asleep. I love what I do and have so much to be grateful for. I entered the search "I am so excited I can't sleep" to see what other people can not sleep over.

Some of the examples were:

An upcoming trip the next day
Buying a new car the next day
A person getting out of prison the next day

I do not have anything going on at that level, but it feels great.

Hi Tom! Sometimes I get so I exited that I can't sleep too! Wanna know what works for me? I just repeat "All I have to do right now is sleep" over and over again until I'm relaxed and can drift off! Good luck Buddy!

I get so excited over lil things such as my fav song being played on the radio or when there's no major traffic on the roads or when someone I really adore gives me a call...:)

Happy 2007, Tom! Thanks for checking out my blog... ;-)

Yes, we have very different styles, don't we? But we share this particular quirk: I'm also am often so excited about what is coming up that I can't sleep!!

I find I'm very productive. ;-)

angel- that mantra is interesting.

Keshi- no traffic? I hope that does not mean you are driving when you are supposed to be sleeping.

daughter- hope for the future is a great thing and gets me very excited as well.

Yachtbroker- I agree that antisipation of being with a woman is a great thing. It excites me just thinking about it.

I am able to get to sleep, by doing things like meditating or reading. But it is interesting seeing what generates that type of excitement in people.

When I did a broader search it showed a song from britney spears and a ufc fighter looking forward to a battle. It is very interesting knowing what excites people to that level.

True, remember when you were a kid ... it seems more things excited you disabling sleep. Christmas morning. A ballgame. Trip to grandma's. Etc. It seems when we're older and slumber stalls, it's generally due to less pleasant things...meetings at work, conflict in relationships, etc. I like the reminder that sometimes life offers such excitement that sleep is not necessary!

I'm so excited today as it's my partner's birthday tomorrow. I have a couple of presents for him that I know he'll just love and I can't wait to see his face when he unwraps them

a life - I did not get those feelings as often in adulthood until the last 2 years or so.

pokey - yes that is how it was for me.

starlet - I have heard about that syndrome on radio ads asking for volunteers for a med for it. Not the case for me.

Janz - Giving is great. When I was a kid I cared more about getting but it is far more rewarding giving. Sometimes I do better than other times.

Hey thanks for the comment!
Usually I fall asleep in matter of a few seconds.. And when I don't it's because I have too many thoughts in my mind... so I put them in an imaginary box aside (might think it strange hehe). It works! :) But as I said not being able to fall asleep doesn't happen too often in my case!
All the best!

I've had the "so excited about a trip that I can't sleep" thing happen. It makes catching that 5 AM flight that much more excruciating... plus I can never sleep on a plane.

Hi Tom.

You made some rather disparaging remarks about me at a website after mistakenly believing that I was using vulgarities about you.

Here is what you said.

Dirk, you really would have no chance battling me. Trite little vulgar comments do not bother me. As good as a blogger as you are it is odd that you resort to vulgarity.
Satan, is at least funny when he has battled with me. Calling 8 year old school boy names really is out of the kindergarden joke book of blogging. You seem so far above that.... But again I could be wrong.

Uh, Tom.

I don't know you. I don't have any interest in your comments at Satan's blog.

Unless you believe that everything is somehow about you I just don't understand why you've dragged me into something I have no interest in.

Truly, I go to Satan's blog to have fun with him, not you. It is his blog after all, not yours.

Your remarks were uncalled for...

You didn't even bother asking if I was addressing you.

I wasn't...

I think you are rude.

I think your blogs are stale and dry.

I find nothing worth visiting you for.

Now, since you chose to insult someone who never did anything to you.

Bite me, ass wipe. Next time check to make sure of your facts before going off on someone.

Dirk-

Here is your last comment on my blog:

Dec 8th-

"Think and grow rich is my third favorite book... Wonderful read."

If that were the case it would be listed under your profile on your blog right with the other books you listed?

---

If I need to use language like

"fuck salvation" to be popular like you I choose to remain stale. Thanks.

That was stated right after my salvation suggestions. You were not addressing me when you said pussies? That is a plural word. That means more than one. Have you since given clarification on who that was directed toward on satans blog? Nope.

Blogger asks a question about salvation. Garrett.

I give an answer about salvation.

You then say "fuck salvation" and pusssies on the same post. Who was the pussies comment directed towards?

Gabby, trying writting about things that keep you up?

Dale, thanks for the kind words.

Satan, funny comment as always.

Brian, sleeping on a plane is challenging. I know this sounds wierd but I bring my own pillow. The ones they have are too small.

Yasamin, Scopions in your place? I just think of the rock band or the dessert. I didnt know that scorpions get into homes.

East of Oregon, It wasnt meant to be cute. I just use the stuff here.

Olga, I am flattered that you would use it. Your blog is very inspiring, it reminds me of what is possible. I am sure you have been excited about a race or two in your life?

I remember my first marathon I was up almost all night antisipating the race.

Tom, if you look at other posts of my at Satan's you'll notice plural words like minions andd bitches. Nobody else ever assumed that I was doing anything other than playing with a group.

Think whatever you wish to think...

Just because Think and Grow Rich is one of my favorite reads does not ean I needed to list it in my interests...

I also enjoyed "How to Win Friends and influence people" I've never bothered to list it anywhere.

I am not you, I do things my way.

Quit assuming...

Truly, I have no interest in you at all.

Do you see the contradiction in your communication? You have a way of doing that. First you come here and dont mention that you said....

"Fuck salvation...."

You still seem blind to the possibility that might not be such a good thing to say in any context. You humor is not strong enough to get away with it. You are a talented blogger just not talented enough to say that and be humorous enough to pull it off.

Just my opinion of course.

I think you have been my first sincere critic.
