I was emailed a question on one of my favorite movies. There is a movie called Running on the Sun that is listed. The movie is about the Badwater Marathon, it is a run that is 135 miles apx in Death Valley during the summer. I have an article that I keep in my motivational folder of a man with 1 leg and 1 arm that completed it. I use it as a reminder of what is possible.

Everything about this seems wrong to me. Badwater - can't be good. 135 miles - insane. Death Valley in the summer - deadly.

I'll stick to my 5K. thankyouverymuch.

"It's funny. I can look back on a life of achievement, on challenges met, competitors bested, obstacles overcome. I've accomplished more than most men, and without the use of my legs. What, what makes a man, Mr. Lebowski? . . . Is it, is it doing the right thing? Whatever the price? Isn't that what makes a man?"

"Ehh, sure, that and a pair of testicles."

I dont know the value of doing the Badwater multiple times and I dont know how to give a mental valuation to what that would be worth.

I have run marathons. 5k's are not bad either.

thetraytiger, interesting quote.

The pair of testicles is an interesting way to look at it as well.

Do you think that doing something like that could be done sometimes as an object lesson to others to allow them to acheive more in their lives?

Think and Grow Rich has stories of people that have overcome great odds and acomplished greatness not only for themselves but to help others. When I read stories of a disabled person doing something that most people that are able bodied writting off it is very inspiring. If that doesnt work for you..... just curious..... what does?

Dude, that quote's from The Big Lebowski. And seriously, forget about this positive thinking horseshit and get a life. Watch some movies, go hang-gliding, fuck your wife or something. Come on, man, anything... your blog is depressing.
